Arnold Schwarzenegger Bodybuilding - How to Build Biceps

  • Throughout Arnold Schwarzenegger's bodybuilding career, he always had a set of well defined bicep muscles. Almost as if it were just some natural developed area that he was just able to build effortlessly.
  • We all have our well developed areas, and for Arnold, he just so happened to be gifted in this area

  • One thing to remember when trying to build your biceps, is to remember that we all build muscle differently, and the outcome may look a little differently from the next persons bodybuilding results.
  • Some people are just able to build high peaks to their biceps, and others just can't seem to make it happen.

  • But from here on out, you will at least know Arnold's favorite exercises for biceps to help you get one step closer.
  • Here are a few tips, and exercises to help you build your biceps. A list of the best bicep exercises!
  • Standing barbell curls
  • Arm blaster curls
  • Cheat curls
  • Preacher curls
  • Incline dumbbell curl
  • Seated dumbbell curl
  • Alternate dumbbell curl
  • Concentration curl
  • Lying dumbbell curl
  • Two handed cable curl
  • The best way to do any of these bicep exercises, is to use slow controlled form. Bring the weight down slowly and flex your bicep muscle at the top of the movement. Always hold the barbell or dumbbell at the top of the movement for a few seconds, and really flex the muscle, then slowly lower the weight. That is how you build peaks to your biceps.
  • If building your biceps is your number one priority to muscle gains, I would highly recommend working them no more than twice a week until the biceps start responding the way you would like them to.
  • About 4 bicep exercises per workout should be plenty. Experiment with different exercise movements and see which ones you like the best. I've learned that the best muscular gains occur from the exercise movements you enjoy doing. If it feels dreadful, then change it.
  • Thanks for reading.
